Another Nonfiction November has flown by! How has your month been?
Jaymi @ The OC Bookgirl is our host for our final week:
New to My TBR : It’s been a month full of amazing nonfiction books! Which ones have made it onto your TBR? Be sure to link back to the original blogger who posted about that book!
I’d been holding off on posting my list in the hopes I could get around to some more posts, but I think I have to admit defeat. Here’s what I’ve added so far:
Suspicious Minds: Why We Believe Conspiracy Theories, by Rob Brotherton – Christopher @ Plucked from the Stacks
Mysterious America: The Ultimate Guide to the Nation’s Weirdest Wonders, Strangest Spots, and Creepiest Creatures,
by Loren Coleman – Christopher @ Plucked from the Stacks
A Season with the Witch: The Magic and Mayhem of Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts, by J.W. Ocker – Christopher @ Plucked from the Stacks
Calling Bullshit: The Art of Skepticism in a Data-Driven World, by Carl T. Bergstrom & Jevin D. West – Christopher @ Plucked from the Stacks
The Idiot Brain: What Your Head is Really Up To, by Dean Burnett – Stargazer @ For Book Lovers and Random People
Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals, by Oliver Burkeman – Laila @ Big Reading Life (Serendipitously, after Laila named this as her favorite read of the last year, it showed up in one of my neighborhood Little Free Libraries!)
Monsters: A reckoning, by Alison Croggon – Whispering Gums
Death in Mud Lick: A Coal Country Fight against the Drug Companies That Delivered the Opioid Epidemic – Katie @ Doing Dewey
Working in the Shadows: A Year of Doing Jobs (Most) Americans Won’t Do, by Gabriel Thompson – Maphead’s Book Blog
It Didn’t Start With You: How Inherited Family Trauma Shapes Who We Are and How to End the Cycle, Mark Wolynn, Lory @ Entering the Enchanted Castle
What new addition to your reading list are you most excited for? Don’t forget to link up with Jaymi before the end of the week!
Love you list, and am impressed that you included Monsters.
Suspicious minds – the why of it all, sounds interesting to me

Thanks for introducing me to that one! It was by far the most unusual and intriguing-sounding book I came across this month.

Wow, that’s interesting but I agree that it is quite unusual. You clearly took note of what I wrote about it!

According to Katie it’s one of the best she’s read on the opioid topic so far!

I enjoyed A Season with the Witch. It was an interesting look inside of Salem.

Ooh good to know it has your seal of approval! I liked the one book of his I’ve read, I think it was called Cursed Objects. He has a fun storytelling style.

I’ll have to look into It Didn’t Start With You – that’s a topic I’m interested in (generational trauma.)

It was so funny – it happened like, a day or so after your post. I was so excited – can’t wait to get to it!

I’m so intrigued by the generational trauma one as well. Such an important and I think under explored topic.

Great list. I was also inspired by many non-fiction readers this year. Still to make my list.
